About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation began construction of the Kiryat Hayoval Education, Cultural & Sport Center in 1978. The center included a soccer field, basketball court, gymnasium and grounds for a day camp. The facility would later develop into several separate but related facilities at the site: the Lea & Maurice Goldberg Sports Hall, the Vi & Johnny Rubens Sports & Recreation Center and the Hassenfeld Family Community Center.
