About the project

The Shema Kolenu (Hear our Voice) Center for Hearing-Impaired Children is dedicated to mainstreaming ultra-Orthodox hearing-impaired children into the hearing community. The center takes a multi-disciplinary approach that involves audiologists, speech and language professionals, teachers and parents. The organization’s Jerusalem branch serves 120 children in grades 1-12 who come to the center after regular school to participate in tutorial classes, speech therapy sessions and social enrichment programs in art, computers, crafts and more. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported the purchase of equipment, including hearing aids, computers and audio-visual aids, library books and enrichment programs and trips.
