About the project

The Israel Democracy Institute is an independent, policy research institute founded in 1991. The institute assists the Knesset (Israeli legislature,) government ministries and institutions, local authorities and political parties by submitting research papers and proposals for political reform. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported the institute’s Guttman Center of Applied Social Research, which undertakes public opinion surveys on social subjects.
