About the project

The Frances L. Hiatt Garden is located in the heart of the City Center. The garden was created below street level in a natural bowl. It includes a lawn that slopes down to a stone-paved amphitheater with a shade pergola and a natural stone waterfall. The garden provides space for musical and other outdoor performances and is an important leisure spot in the city’s commercial area. The garden has featured various sculptures over the years. Tete by Joan Miro originally was located here, but later was moved to the Wohl Rose Park of Jerusalem. Veneti Horse, a sculpture created by Slovenian designer Oskar Kogo, was placed in the garden in 1996. The sculpture is representative of Kogo’s sculptural figures associated with the Veneti, the early ancestors of the Slovenians.
