About the project

The Jerusalem Foundation supported construction of an Adventure Playground opposite the Petrie Civic, Education & Sports Center in Neve Ya’acov in 1993. The playground was built as a community project by neighborhood residents together with British volunteers under the supervision of American architect Robert Leathers, who specializes in community playground projects. Leathers first met with students to help them develop their design ideas. Then, over the course of a week, together with local residents and volunteers, they built the playground that includes slides, swings, bridges, mazes and more that they named Supergan (Super Park).
