About the project
The Batei Warsaw (Warsaw Houses) is a group of housing blocks built in 1894 by Ya’acov Tonwertzel for the Warsaw kollel (a group of men who study Jewish law full-time). The Jerusalem Foundation renovated an area behind the buildings in 1972 to create a play area and a series of stairs to connect the area to the street level.
