About the project
The Lutheran Church of Sweden established the Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem in 1951 to enable Christians to deepen their knowledge of Judaism and Christianity in the land of the Bible. The institute is based at Tabor House, a landmark building built in 1882 by Swiss architect Conrad Schick.The institute offers study and interfaith programs for theology students, pastors and teachers from developing countries, short-term courses for Swedish clergy and laymen and international conferences and seminars. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported the purchase of educational materials, interfaith activities and field trips.
