Jerusalem Prize
The Jerusalem Foundation and Maimonides Fund seek nominations for young leaders of social, cultural, educational, and community-based organizations in Jerusalem as applications for the Jerusalem Prize for Young Leadership. Nominees must demonstrate proven success in initiating projects and leading their non-profit organizations to achieve important goals for Jerusalem’s social and cultural progress.
The Prize in the amount of $100,000 will be granted in recognition of the awardee to his or her non-profit organization to support its future growth and development.
Eligible Prize Areas
Strengthening civil society within the city
Promoting the cultural heritage of Jerusalem
Empowering women in all sectors of the city
Integrating the ultra-orthodox in civil society
Promoting English language education for students in Jerusalem
Developing educational programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics for all sectors
Prize
The prize will be granted in recognition of the awardee to his or her non-profit organization to support its future growth and development
Application Terms
Candidates must be no more than 50 years old
Candidates must be residents of Jerusalem and work in the city
Candidates must be working through an NGO
Candidates will be presented to Prize Committee by a nominator
Candidates must be operating a project which is in the implementation stage
Required documentation (to be presented in Hebrew or in Arabic)
- Letter of recommendation
- Photocopy of the candidate’s ID
- Candidate’s CV
- Description of the organization
- Description of the organizational structure of the organization and its latest annual budget
- Nominator’s and candidate’s contact information
